History of the Group
1977.Creation of the company Montajes Eléctricos Joca
1979. JOCA begins expanding across the whole country.
1988. Creation of SACONSA, company within the group which specialises in technology and integrated services.
1989. Entry into the Portuguese market.
1990. JOCA goes from specialising in the water cycle to become a general construction company.
1999. JOCA opens an office in the Canary Islands, thus completing the company’s process of expansion across the whole country.
2000. Beginning of the internationalisation project of the JOCA corporate group.
2002. Beginning of the implementation of Saconsa’s new expansion plan in sectors associated to the installation and management of infrastructures related to the water cycle, renewable energy, and the execution of electrical and electro-mechanical installations for all kinds of hydraulic works.
2006. The JOCA corporate group enters the railway sector by acquiring the company Intervías, a leading and nationally prestigious construction company specialised in railway engineering works.
2006. The International Group GR4 is acquired. The Group specialises in gas constructions.
2008. The company Áridos Novelda is acquired. The company works in extracting, classifying, and crushing aggregates and owns an operational plant near Badajoz.
2009. JOCA opens an office in Peru, thus initiating the internationalisation process in the Latin American market.
2011. JOCA continues to implement its development plan in the Latin American market by opening a new branch in Panama.
2012. The JOCA corporate group has become a diversified construction group with an international presence, specialising in water engineering, and with a focus towards R&D, innovation, and excellence in management.
2013. The GROUP undergoes a process of internal renovation, to reach a full level of professionalism in all areas and activities, both productive and functional, taking on an organisational system which allows them to develop further in a safe and controlled manner. The current group of shareholders is made up by the GROUP’s directors, who, over the course of 2013 have completed the purchase of the GROUP from the previous owners. The purchase has been focused exclusively on companies that work in construction and engineering, as part of an MBO operation, excluding real estate.
2014. The JOCA corporate group has become a diversified construction group with an international presence, specialising in water engineering, and with a focus towards R&D, innovation, and excellence in management.
2015. Continuing with the international expansion fo the group, JOCA builds a new company’s branch in Bolivia
2016. JOCA GROUP reinforces its international presence with a new company’s branch in Ecuador and the development of commercial activities in Costa Rica, Cuba, Colombia and North Africa. Additionally, JOCA GROUP has started the development of its industrial business with the development of a contract in Polonia.
