Emergency in Tiquipaya, Bolivia. Due to the flooding of the Taquiña River in Bolivia.

An emergency recently occurred in Bolivia due to the flooding of the Taquiña River caused by heavy rains. The Bolivian city of Tiquipaya , located in the department of Cochabamba , was declared a «disaster zone» to mobilize departmental and other levels of emergency services following the aforementioned flooding.

It is estimated that some 150 homes have been affected.

The videos show how the torrent of water has entered the homes in the area and buried the entire town, located about 200 kilometers east of La Paz, under a layer of mud and rocks.

The river initially burst its banks on Friday night, but the most intense flooding occurred early Saturday morning. The flooding was caused by heavy rainfall.

JOCA, together with Molinari ( Tunari Accidental Association ), has paid immediate attention to the emergency in Tiquipaya and has put all its available resources, both personnel and heavy machinery, to provide all possible assistance. https://afibrovi.es
